Witold Pedrycz, Head of the Project, received the M.Sc., Ph.D., and D.Sc. degrees from the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. He is a Professor and Canada Research Chair (CRC-Computational Intelligence) with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. He is also with the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. His main research interests include computational intelligence, fuzzy modeling and granular computing, knowledge discovery and data mining, fuzzy control, pattern recognition, knowledge-based neural networks, relational computing, and software engineering. He has published numerous papers in this area. He is intensively involved in editorial activities. He is an Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences (Elsevier), WIREs on Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and a Co-editior in Chief of J. of Granular Computing (Springer). He serves on the Advisory Board of IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems. Prof. Pedrycz is a member of a number of editorial boards of other international journals.
Marcin Luckner received the M.Sc. degree from the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, and Ph.D. from the Systems Research Institute of Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland, in 2008. He is currently Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. His main research interests include practical applications of machine learning and data science especially to cyber-threats detection, indoor and outdoor navigation and localization, and event detection in public transport data. Marcin Luckner is currently a director of Applied Research Centre and a head of Polish group in the European Horizon 2020 Big Data project.
Radoslaw Piliszek was a student of Computer Science Master's course at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at the University of Bialystok, Bialystok, Poland. He was briefly involved in the project in the role of software developer. Radoslaw has graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at the University of Bialystok and currently he is with the Computational Centre of the University of Bialystok, Poland.
